Design and document multi-member steel support structures for a water-filtration operation in Nairobi, with manufacturability and field installation treated as first-order design constraints.
Engineering work
I designed and modeled three major support structures, performed linear-static FEA across aggregate load cases, and evaluated the effect of transverse and variable wind loading on the design basis.
What shipped
The final work included technical packages with more than 30 drawings, ISO-compliant welding symbols, layouts for excavation, welding, and assembly, and ten reports used by executive and technical stakeholders.
